Betsy Denson

As Marketing Communications Specialist at Oaks Wealth Management (OWM), Betsy manages social media, creates website content, and handles media outreach to help OWM connect with the financial services community and enhance its online presence.

Throughout her career, she's developed communications expertise across diverse industries, including financial services, marketing consulting, journalism, nonprofit organizations, higher education, and tourism. This range has given her a unique ability to quickly understand different audiences and craft messaging that resonates across sectors.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Virginia, where she also minored in Communications.

Active in the Houston community, Betsy has served in volunteer leadership positions ranging from Music Guild President at a local high school to elementary school PTA President. She spent nine years volunteering with the Junior League of Houston in roles ranging from writing for Houston News to literacy programs and children's health education. A highlight was her time at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, where she created audiobooks and served as a tandem bike rider in long-distance races.
